Visionary Concept for V-Zug App

As the lead designer, I collaborated with V-Zug to create a visionary concept for their home appliance management app, focused on improving usability, enhancing feature value, and exploring innovative functions. The goal was to design an intuitive, user-centered app that not only meets current needs but anticipates future expectations.

Our strategy was structured around four key objectives: improving usability, delivering quick wins to increase value, expanding the app’s utility, and exploring entirely new opportunities for innovation. These objectives guided our efforts to craft an app that would genuinely serve user needs and bring fresh value to home appliance management.

User research revealed significant usability challenges, including onboarding issues and a lack of clear functionality. Users expressed difficulty seeing the app’s value, with features like recipes and remote control falling short. Additionally, there was interest in innovative features such as maintenance reminders, appliance education, and program selection guidance.

Throughout the project, I prioritized the user in all design decisions. From simplifying onboarding to enhancing feature usability, each choice was informed by user feedback. I facilitated prototype testing and feedback sessions, ensuring our designs resonated with users while balancing innovation with practicality.

This project set a strategic foundation for V-Zug’s app to grow and evolve alongside user needs. By grounding our roadmap in real user challenges and future opportunities, we outlined a path for V-Zug to create an indispensable, intuitive tool for home appliance management, positioned for both immediate impact and sustained relevance.
